Rough Water Club – “The Stew”

July 12, 2026

The focus of this session will be rough water boat handing, rescue and safety and play in the tidal current environment.

Rough Water Club is a new initiative from Cloud 9 Adventures aimed at strengthening the sea kayaking community across Atlantic Canada. This program provides paddlers with opportunities to connect, learn, and grow together while enjoying the thrill of navigating dynamic coastal waters.

This session will take place at the locally renowned “The Stew”, a prime practice environment with warm waters on the historic Hillsborough tidal estuary in Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island.

Led by a Paddle Canada instructor, the outing combines guided instruction with playful exploration, offering paddlers a space to refine skills, build confidence, and challenge themselves in rough water conditions. These gatherings go beyond standard paddling sessions—they are community-focused experiences, where we gather to share a common purpose, support one another, and push their abilities in a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment.
